Salamandra
Live dance, recorded music and live drumming
Salamandra is an original work for the stage, co-created with choreographer and dancer Lea Bessoudo Greck and with Shir Be'er, drummer and mover. It blends live dance and choreography with recorded music and live drumming on stage.
I was the musical producer. Together we explored sound and made custom recordings to create unique effects, worked live in the studio, and co-developed a soundtrack that serves the movement and the drumming.
Salamandra was performed on the stage of the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and was later invited to the Smilansky Festival in Be'er Sheva.
“It was an amazing process of making a conversation between creating choreography creating music and playing the drums.”
“The final result was a powerful, impressive, and deeply unique piece.”
